Employee Assistance in Northern Michigan

Pine Rest is excited to provide Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to members of the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce. Now chamber members have direct access to EAP services offered by the largest private behavioral health provider in the state.

How do businesses in the Traverse Bay area find out more about this program?
Simply call the Pine Rest Traverse City Clinic at 231-947-2255 x-8118 or ask for Bill Paxton, Director of Northern Michigan Services. We would be delighted to set up an appointment with you to explain the program in much more detail.

What is the Employee Assistance Program?
The Employee Assistance Program is a confidential assessment and referral service. It provides professional counseling to the employees of participating companies and institutions.

How does an employee contact the EAP?
During business hours an employee whose company has an EAP with Pine Rest can call the Pine Rest Traverse City Clinic at 231-947-2255. During non-business hours, employees can call the Pine Rest Hotline telephone number 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. This separate, private telephone line is provided to all employees once a contract with a company is established.

How is confidentiality insured?
Any individual contact with the EAP is treated confidentially and is not reflected in personnel records. All reports sent to the employer include only the number of employees and family members who have used the services, the types of personal problems, and other data. The information is always reported to the company without names in a way that protects the anonymity of those who use the EAP.
