The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program is a licensed service of Saint Mary's Health Care. All groups meet on the Grand Rapids campus of Pine Rest.
Objective
The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program is a short-term, intensive treatment
program offered to individuals experiencing significant mental and/or
emotional problems. Our goal is to provide intensive treatment to assist
individuals in managing these problems. The target population includes
adults, age 18 and over, who meet the criteria for admission and cannot
be adequately treated through traditional outpatient services.
Services
The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program operates from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00
p.m. The groups are led by a variety of mental health professionals (see
list of group titles). Each patient meets individually with his or her
psychiatrist and case manager. Together with the patient, the staff will
assist in setting treatment goals, a plan with specific strategies for
treatment, and the aftercare plan. The case manager and psychiatrist will
review with the patient progress he/she has made as they offer guidance
in finding resources necessary for the patients treatment. Specialty
groups on Dual Recovery (addictions) and Trauma are also part of the Adult
Partial Hospitalization Program Services. The focus of the program is
therapeutic groups that are 1 1/2 hours in length.
